Facilitation, Coaching and Exectutive Coaching

In a climate of high pressure and rapid change training is not necessarily the right solution for group, team or individual learning.  MRPTC is able to offer experienced and qualified facilitators and/or coaches for a number of different types of facilitate learning.

Action Learning:

This is the process by which groups of people with the guidance of a facilitator work out their own solutions to issues which are challenging them. During the process not only do they develop and carry out actions for themselves, they learn techniques to help themselves and others problem solve effectively.

“It was good to voice my concerns, to actively work through live issues, gain consensus and feedback and positively address numerous difficult issues.”

Coaching and Executive Coaching:

One to one coaching where an experienced coach guides the coachee to explore challenges and personal and professional blocks, the strategies for moving forward can be really helpful.  Senior managers often find themselves in a lonely place where there are few people they can safely explore ideas with and work through particular challenges, this is where an  Executive Coach can be helpful,  encouraging leaders to work on areas where they feel a need to develop confidence or skills.

Our coaches are experienced and some are qualified including the executive coaches.  Before the coachee commits themselves they will have a chance to talk to the coach face to face and explore the contract between the coach, coachee and organisation, possible learning outcomes (although these often change or are refined during the initial session) and whether they feel they can work with the coach.  Where appropriate the line manager is also included in the discussion. Coaches are supported and supervised by the consortium.

“Before each meeting I felt a little resentful of the work I wouldn’t be able to do in the 2 hours we were meeting, and after each meeting I walked away feeling refreshed and re-energised by the discussion and my actions, resolving to make time for such reflection by myself once the coaching had ended.  Putting the actions into practice and seeing positive benefits has been great and really emphasised that the executive coaching has been time very well spent for me.”

Team Coaching, Facilitated Events:  Sometimes a team needs to learn or develop together but the team manager needs to be part of the process rather than the facilitator. We can provide you with a team coach or a facilitator for team events. Again initial contracting will be undertaken before you commit yourself to anything.
