How do I become an Accredited Programmes tutor?

The necessary training to become a tutor or facilitator for an accredited programme is prescribed for each programme. In general you will need to first pass an Assessment Centre.

You will then have to attend a set amount of training where you will learn about, and practice delivering the sessions that make up the programme. Some of these practices will be assessed and at the end of the training you will be told whether or not you have passed. Shortly after the training you will receive a written report on your performance which will highlight your strengths and areas that you need to develop further.

If you have passed you will start to deliver the programme, back in your area. Your performance will be recorded and observed by a treatment manager; who will supervise your performance and development.

After you have delivered a specified amount of the programme to the desired standard, you will be able to attend a further period of advanced training. On successful completion of this training you will be deemed to be an Accredited Facilitator.
