- With a total population of around 910,300, around 300,000 people live in the city of Leicester, which has a rich diversity of cultures
- we employ approx. 550 staff, including 100 trained Probation Officers
- our average caseload of offenders is around 4,000. Of these 20% are Black and Asian, and 11% are women. Prisoners and ex-prisoners make up about one third of the total caseload.
- we have probation staff placed in the five prisons in the area, plus a team specialising in integrated drugs work.
- Every year we hold a reception for representatives of minority ethnic communities in Leicestershire and Rutland. We also hold an event for people working with victims.
   
Leicestershire and Rutland Probation Area has achieved Chartermark and Investors in People status and gained the Positive about Disability award.
