About Derbyshire
  • With a total population of around 957,000, 3% of the population are from a minority ethnic group
  • we employ approximately 400 staff, including 97 trained Probation Officers
  • we have probation staff placed in the two prisons in the area
  • we run a 26-bedded approved premises in Derby, with an additional 70 places in voluntary hostels
  • staff are based in Derby, Ilkeston, Riddings, Chesterfield, Buxton and Matlock.

  • trainee Probation Officers may be expected to travel from their employment base in order to access some of their training and development opportunities - this may involve some lengthy journeys.
