About Derbyshire

With a total population of around 957,000, 3% of the population are from a minority ethnic group
we employ approximately 400 staff, including 97 trained Probation Officers
we have probation staff placed in the two prisons in the area
we run a 26-bedded approved premises in Derby, with an additional 70 places in voluntary hostels
staff are based in Derby, Ilkeston, Riddings, Chesterfield, Buxton and Matlock.

Derbyshire Probation Area has recently achieved Charter Mark status for the second time, it also holds Investors in People status, the Positive about Disability award and Community Payback status.
